Laura Klock

Laura is a lady that loves a challenge, loves to ride, and has a gift for inspiring others. She grew up in the country in Wisconsin where riding and wrenching on anything motorized was a pastime, so it seems only natural that we find her where she is today. True to her love of the sport, she is currently Vice President of Klock Werks Kustom Cycles in Mitchell, SD, and holds AMA and SCTA National Land Speed Records from the Bonneville Salt Flats. Laura has worked for several years alongside long time friend and one of the premiere builders in the industry, Brian Klock. In the last few years, they have taken their business and friendship to the next level, partnering officially as President and Vice President of the company, and husband and wife. The latter took place in Bonneville. Their partnership has resulted in completing 310 new part numbers (so far!) distributed through Drag Specialties and on their web site www.kustombaggers.com. After winning the Discovery Channel’s Biker Build Off with their bagger in 2006, the Klock Werks Krew headed to the Bonneville Salt Flat. Laura piloted the “WFB” World’s Fastest Bagger to an AMA National Land Speed Record.
Each year, Laura has returned to Bonneville and improved her own record, racing the second year with her eldest daughter, Erika, who at 16 years old at the time set her own land speed record. Her younger daughter Karlee joined them in 2008, and at 14 years old became the youngest to ever set a record on the salt. Laura, Erika and Karlee are the first mother-daughter-daughter trio in history of land speed racing to hold records at the same time. Laura, named Cycle Source 2008 Motorcycling’s Woman of the Year, would tell you her 2 daughters, Erika, now 18, and Karlee, 15, are her greatest accomplishments. Having them follow in her footsteps – riding and racing, has made her proud beyond words. Laura has been featured in magazines such as Hot Bike Bagger, American Bagger, American Iron, IronWorks, Cycle Source, Biker’s Ally, as well as PowerBlock TV, Speed Channel, and the History Channel. She was part of the XX Chromes All Woman Bike Build in 2007, setting a bike build record of 5 hours and 5 minutes, and completed a second build with the XX Chromes at a Chicago IMS Show.

The Ladies Of BikeDesignz.com
Vette & Kenisha

BikeDesignz.com has a philosophy ~ follow your PASSION. Our passion is for customs! Anything CUSTOM - Low Riders, Imports, Rat Rods, Bikes, Trikes, and even Big Rigs! Always being a part of and supporting the MotorSport Industry has been a fact of life from hittin’ switches & scrapin’ pavment to drag racing and drifting, it makes the heart race. It is truly where we want to be . . . right there in the action.
We are so fortunate to live in a country with the freedom to ride our four wheelers atop moonlit sand dunes, race jetboats on the local lake, cruise up the coast five thousand hot rods deep, or smoke down a tire at bike night that we need to enjoy those rights. Pursue that perfect build and ride it until your heart is content. The reward is so worth all the hard work and effort that goes into a project and only you know how good it feels to see one of your creations going down the road.
Customizing your ride is showing a true reflection of the person you are. Do yourself proud, look good on a pass by.
